Running LAMMPS on Multi GPUs

Dear everybody

Have anybody ever experienced running lammps on multi-GPUs? I think of a motherboard having two or more GPU.

Is there any point to do so?

Any hint is welcome.

Hey Axel!

You should answer clearly instead of just copy/pasting!!!
Otherwise, leave your seat and give the task to a fresh one

Yes there can be benefit if there is enough work to keep the GPUs busy, just like there is benefit to using two or more CPU cores. See http://lammps.sandia.gov/doc/Section_accelerate.html, specifically the sections on the GPU and KOKKOS packages on how to run with multi GPUs.

There are some plots on that page for performance on nodes
with multiple GPUs.
