Dear all,
I want to create a simulation box with several regions each containing particles of different radius. I am using si units and atom style smd. Could you let me know the procedure for the same.

this is too vague to give any specific advice, but:
- the create_atoms command allows you to specific regions to be filled with
atoms according to a given lattice pattern or randomly.
- the set command allows to assign all kinds of atom properties
- the examples/USER/smd folder contains examples for the user-smd based
simulations.

please have a look.

axel.

And you can email Georg Ganzenmuller (author of USER-SMD package)
and see if he has a suggestion for using polydisperse setups. He
may suggest it’s a bad idea for SMD.
