SMD (steered molecular dynamics) in DPD simulation

Hi, All,
Is it possible to use SMD in DPD simulation?
I tried to use “fix smd” to pull two water droplets together (part of my input script is below).
But the actual distance of the two droplets in the output does not always decrease, sometimes it increases.

how about you first set up a test system, say with only a few particles,
all of the same kind? and you try with those, check the impact of pulling
velocity and force constant for your given set of units and then step by
step build this up to your full ​system

nobody can say whether your input is meaningful from a few lines without
context, and we don't have the time to validate/confirm people's inputs in
the first place.

By changing the velocity values, I was able to see the pulling of two droplets together.
