I am taking a square base for the vertical chute. The dimension of the
region are 0 6.0 0 40.0 0 6.0 . The direction of flow is along y-axis.
Should the stresses pxx and pzz be same???


It seems that if your system is symmetrical in the x and z directions,
pxx and pzz in should be same For a planar liquid-vapor interface,
this is the case, but only if you average over a long time and even
then not *exactly*, just very close. I don't have experience with
vertical chute systems though, perhaps someone else can comment. How
much disagreement are you seeing between pxx and pzz--1%, 5%, 50%,
