I figured it out. I hadn't seen that "stop_condition" was a public variable from the minimize class.
Implementing changes now. I'll test it, and if it works I'll send you the changes.

ok - sounds like this would be a useful option.
I'm assuming that you can't get the behavior you
want by setting the displacement threshhold
to trigger an "event" to a larger value? I.e.
in the compute event/displace command?
