Temperature setting of NVT

Dear lammps users,

I have a problem that when I set up a model of water boiling on Cu plate. In the simulation, I first run NVT to set the Cu group’s temperature 353K, water group’s temperature 293K, the two groups are different temperatures, but the two groups are osculatory. Is it situable to set like this, which means in the NVT run, the two groups are set into two different temperatures.

Each time you define a thermostatting fix, like fix nvt, you are free to decide whether to apply it to the whole system (“all”), or a specific group. Check the documentation for the fix nvt and group commands.
