the simulation stop running without any notice

Hi all
My simulation has stopped going forward for one week and I don’t why. I mean the simulation seems still running, it wasn’t terminated. Usually if the simulation came across some problem, it would be terminated and there would be some error information printed on the screen. But in my case, the simulation just stopped on the 103600th step for one week. (Before this step, it runs very fast, it needs no more than 3 hours to reach this step.) Any one came across the same problem with me? Do you know how to solve this problem?

Best regards

no. this kind of thing can have many reasons. smart people let
simulations only go for a limited time and then restart.

axel.

Your problem description is way too generic. Please advance more info on how are you running the job: linux/windows, serial/parallel, local/cluster, etc.

Given your little info, here is a possible (but very unlikely) explanation: Your sys admin doesn’t like you and he’s playing with your head
