If I am trying to time average a density profile from 0-10 ps, but use read_restart to perform MD from 5-10ps, will I get the correct time average over the 10 ps? Or is the previous time averaging data not carried over through the read_restart command?

whether a fix stores its data in a restart file or not, should be mentioned in the corresponding documentation of the fix command. please check it out.
