Two fully-funded PhD position available on gas clathrate hydrate studies at Louisiana State University

Dear LAMMPS community members**,**

Two DOE-funded Ph.D. positions are available in the area of coarse-grained molecular dynamics simulation of CO2 gas hydrates in the group of Dr. Femi Olorode (Femi Olorode) at Louisiana State University.

The successful candidate will work together with Dr. Femi Olorode on the simulation of carbon dioxide gas hydrates using coarse-grained molecular dynamics (CGMD). The ideal candidate should have a solid background in chemistry, physics, or chemical engineering and must present a strong motivation for scientific research. Students with degrees in chemistry, physics, materials science, chemical engineering, computer science, and applied mathematics are encouraged to apply. Research experience with MD, LAMMPS, GROMACS, and good-quality journals are desired. Applicants must have earned an MS degree and must meet minimum GPA requirements for Ph.D. admission.
Interested candidates should send a CV with a publication list, a short description of research interests, and course transcripts by email to folorode[at]lsu[dot]edu. Review of applications will begin immediately and continue until a suitable candidate is identified.

• Only selected candidates will be contacted. Applicants who do not meet the minimum requirements will not be considered.

Best regards,
