visualization tool

Hi:

I am looking for a tool that could do 3D representation of atoms either in an atom file or a restart file. Ideally I am looking for a tool that will do 3D slices through the data so I can see better what is going on better in the interior.

Thanks!

I use VMD to do this, several other suitable tools are also available. See http://lammps.sandia.gov/viz.html.

In order to visualize the positions embedded in a restart file, you’ll need to first convert it to some other format.

Atomeye will do it as well. Its mentioned in the link provided by Anthony as a visualization tool but just wanted to ensure you know can be used for your needs.

Hi,

I myself rather use OVITO (developed by Alexander Stukowski) as my visualization tool, lots of modifications can be done easily to LAMMPS output files.
