I am a professor at Keio University in Japan. Previously to working at Keio, I was Chief Research at the National Institute of Advanced Industrial Science and Technology located in Tsukuba Japan. I am a specialist in synchrotron radiation and have also used density-functional theory to investigate a wide variety of materials especially the so-called “phase-change materials” used for nonvolatile memory applications. I have been a user of pymatgen for several years and am now learning more about machine learning techniques and applications related to materials science.
