I have this structure for La2SrCuO4, a perovskite, and I have the .cif file which is available from Materials Project. I would like to 3d print this (the unit cell). I would also prefer to use Ovito visualization software and export it to a 3D printer. Would anyone be able to explain the steps or refer me to a website that explains how to do this? I tried editing to .cif file using fractional coordinates but couldn’t get it to visualize in Ovito as shown below.
I’m also considering the method shown in the comments of this post : https://www.reddit.com/r/blender/comments/6krdll/export_from_a_particle_visualization_tool_to/
This seems like it should be a simple project, but I’m having some difficulty.
