The only modification that CTIP added to SM is the charge bound. Everything else is the same so the limitations are exactly the same. With pair_style coul/stretiz, you can create multiple dummy atom types to surrogate other types of metal and oxygen. Using fix qeq/streitz, you can exclude certain metal atoms at the interface from charge equilibration.
