ATC method question

I was wondering id the ATC method in lammps can do the following (and if so could I please have a simple example)

  1. Create a mesh with containing different materials (e,g, SiO_2 and Si)?

  2. If the first one is possible, can lammps update the positions of meshes based on the dynamics? (e.g. contracting of a material)

  Yes multiple materials and yes to update the mesh in the sense that the displacements are tracked in a Lageangian description.
  I'll see if we have a simple benchmark problem I can send you.
