Boltzmann's constant

Hi all,

Is the Boltzmann constant in LAMMPS assigned to that particular value for historical reasons?

LAMMPS has it as 1.3806504e-23 J/K (see the SI units in “update.cpp”), and NIST has it as 1.3806488e-23 J/K:

Not really a big deal, but I’m curious!

the value in update.cpp is the NIST value from the CODATA 2006 set.
this is the kind of thing that get rarely updated. ...and if you do
update it, it may cause confusion.
