Carbon Fiber

Hello everyone!

I would like to know some basics about using carbon fiber material in LAMMPS simulation. Could you please help me with regards to what potential to use in order to simulate carbon fiber material on LAMMPS? Also, could you please direct me towards any resource that I could study on simulating carbon fiber systems on LAMMPS? Thank you!

a) for the choice of potentials, the best place to look for advice is the published literature. you can learn from what others have done and use the methods and approaches that are most suitable to your needs.
b) you are not likely to find anything that has a simple “do this, not that” kind of recipe to do the simulations that you want to do. if you want to be successful in research, then there are no shortcuts. you have to learn the method (MD simulations) and the tools (LAMMPS) and the applications (your system of interest) independently and in the proper order. for the first, there are text books on MD simulations and statistical mechanics, for the second, there is the LAMMPS manual, and for the third, there is the published literature (see answer a)).
