compute and output the rotation speed

Dear all,

Does anyone know how to compute and output the rotation speed of object (the rotation of inner carbon nanotube shown in the pic below).

I can set the tube as a group, but I do not how to output the group’s rotation speed along an axis.

Can you give me some suggestion?

You can define a variable that tracks the position of a single atom that is the outmost layer of the inner CNT. Track position as a function of time, then you can convert that to angular velocity.

There is also a variable function omega() which will compute

the components of omega for a group of atoms.
