Deforming with decreasing temperature

I want to run a simulation where I decrease the temperature while the material is deforming. How can I do this?
(something like using both fix deform and fix nvt.)

Have you had any problems doing this?
Or what is holding you back?

I’m a bit confused about controlling temperature using fix nvt while simultaneously applying fix deform. I’ve observed temperature changes while using fix deform and want to control these changes, but I’m unsure how to do so.

My main question is: how can I control the temperature while applying tension?

Additionally, is it possible to use both fix nvt and fix deform at the same time?

You didn’t really answer my questions, but rather repeated what you had already posted.
This sounds like you need some advising in how to do research in general. That means you need to talk with your adviser or supervisor or similar. This forum is not a substitute for that and you have to ask more specific questions about individual details instead of the equivalent of “how do I do my job?”.

I just asked if anyone knows any command (or way) that combines fix nvt and fix deform functionalities. If you know any I would be really happy to know that. otherwise just feel free to ignore this message.

…and I had asked what is holding you back to use both commands at the same time? You still have not answered this question. Instead you are complaining and repeating the same question. If you want others to respond to your questions in meaningful ways, you should honor the questions you are being asked with the same courtesy.

All available LAMMPS commands are documented in the manual.

Rather than complaining about getting advice you don’t want to hear and stubbornly insisting on getting a specific answer, you should take under consideration that you are communicating with a person that has significantly more experience than you have and the perhaps you may be heading down the wrong path. But most importantly, you don’t seem to have understood how to apply “the scientific method” to figure out problems. Rather you are insisting on being spoon fed with the specific answer you believe you need. Keep in mind that science and research usually do not work this way and that you will likely be ignored by everybody.

I think I can clarify my problem saying that I am not sure how to use both of them. I’m not sure if I could answer your question or not. If you need further clarification, please let me know.
As it is obvious I’m a beginner in lammps and trying to solve my problem. So it would be really kind of you if you could answer me or at least give me some advise on that.

“I am not sure” is not good enough, if you want to become a proper scientist. That is why there is “the scientific method™” and why you need to talk to your adviser or supervisor or tutor. That is the person that is supposed to teach you how to do research.

In your specific case, why don’t you just try out using both fix commands in the same input and observe if that has the result you desire. Hence my question: what is holding your back? What bad things are going to happen if it doesn’t work out?
If you always need to wait until somebody else tells you what to do, you should look into a career as administrator and not as a researcher. The “finding stuff out on your own” part is where the fun lies in research.

That is right. Thank you for your advise.
