The download server Page, http://lammps.sandia.gov/download.html#tar ,may be wrong.
I want to download the latest Stable version (9 Dec 2014).But the title inside the tar.gz package saids it's 31Oct2014 verion.

It seems to work for me. What do you mean by
“title inside the tar.gz package” ?
Possibly you need to clear your browser cache
to avoid re-grabbing an older file it already has
stored.
