Dear Lammps Developer and users,
I’m facing an issue with efield. I expected to see polarization of water molecules but did not see any changes. Even there was no change in the charge as well. I have attached my input script, output and the data file as well.

There cannot be any changes to the charges. The charges are constant in your model.
The system will react to the electric field solely by reacting to the force generated due to the electric field. In fact, that is exactly how fix efield works: it adds a force that is parallel to the electric field and scaled by the charge of the atom. This is all documented behavior.
Thank you @akohlmey for your response. Is it wrong to expect polarization of water molecules.
I have already answered this question.
