One elementary charge.

Please see http://lammps.sandia.gov/doc/units.html

Hi,
Thanks for the reply.
by “charge = multiple of electron charge (1.0 is a proton)” , Does it mean for example for 10 electron the charge should be set to -10?

Thanks,

I don’t understand this question. The charges would be determined from your force field parameterization.

Axel.

Dear Axel,

Thanks for reply,

Let me clarify, in codding Lammps, for metal units, what is the unit of charge ?
In the documentation it is said :
For unit metal;
charge = multiple of electron charge (1.0 is a proton)

Actually I didn’t exactly get what it means, may you know?

This is not a clarification. You are just repeating the same question. Thus the answer is the same.

It is such a trivial matter, I don’t know any other way to explain it.
