Sorry, I did not meant to reply you only. My mistake.
I tried to test out your suggestions. This is what I have and I am getting
the same error. Please guide. This is how my updated inputscipt and Pair
Coeff section of datafile looks like.

I am using 1-Feb version of lammps. Please guide.

why this line? this is plain stupid and useless. it wipes out all
previous settings and what is the point of setting epsilon and sigma
to 12.0 for all pairs?

Aaah… I understand now.

My bad. My linux system is off-network for few hours. I will test it when it gets back online. Thanks again for your help.
