Fatigue simulations

dear sainath g,

before commenting on the content of your question,
i would like to comment on the form of it.

please *always* use a meaningful subject line
and do *not* quote a lengthy and *completely*
unrelated e-mail to save you the effort of having
to copy/type the e-mail address. if you don't
use a meaningful subject line, people are more
likely to ignore your e-mail, it is *extremely*
annoying having to download a long text which
has no relation to the question. please consider
people that are reading e-mails on smartphones
or with slow internet connections. and finally,
keep in mind what it says about you that when
you act like this. how likely is it for somebody
to volunteer his time if the person asking
cannot even be bothered to type the e-mail
address and a meaningful subject line?

Dear LAMMPS users

I wants to do Fatigue simulations, where we will load and unload the
specimen in cyclic manner i.e elongate and compress. Now I wants control
the stress here, means in expansion it can go to suppose say 5GPa and
similarly it should to go to 5GPa in compression as well. I know there is a
command called wiggle where the specimen length oscillates cyclically but
here strain is controlled, but I wants stress controlled.

well, stress is not that controllable, particularly for the
small sample size that is available in MD simulations.
the best you can do is to do a simulation using the
npt integrator and alternate the target pressure for
load/unload. this does not have to be done isotropically,
but can be restricted to one direction.
