FCC lattice 111 plane in ydirection

Dear,

Could you suggest me what lattice orientations I should use in LAMMPS for getting 111 plane in y direction? I know lattice fcc *** orient x 1 1 1 orient y 1 -1 0 orient z 1 1 -2 will create the 111 plane in x direction but I want the orientations for the y direction 111 plane.

You already have the x, y, and z vectors – just use new x (x’) = z, y’=x, z’=y and you will have (111) plane normal along y.
