Filter out certain dislocation types in OVITO Basic

Hello all,

Like the title of the post states, I was wondering if there is a way to filter out certain dislocation types in OVITO Basic. Ideally, I would like to visualize the interaction of Shockley partials however due to the presence of other dislocations, it is a bit hard.

Hi,

No, sorry. I’m afraid this is not directly possible in OVITO Basic. The only solution I see is to export the dislocations to a *.ca file, see Dislocation analysis (DXA) — OVITO User Manual 3.9.2 documentation and modify that file outside of OVITO.
