How do i find cohesive energy of any compound using the data given on the Materials Project website.
for eg. I wat to find the cohesive energy (in eV) of MnNi3. How do i go about that?
Hi @Asthana, by cohesive energy, do you mean the energy to dissociate a solid into its atomic constituents ( E_\mathrm{solid} - \sum_i E_\mathrm{atom}^{(i)})? If so, that information isn’t tabulated in the Materials Project, but the formation energies are (energy to form a solid from its elemental constituents, usually solid or gas phase).
