I am trying to apply an ellipsoidal region in my granular simulation in two-dimensional geometry. The circular region is working fine but somehow ellipsoidal region is not working. Can someone please help me in this direction?
Unfortunately, there is not much help that can be given. Making the ellipsoid region work with fix gran/wall/region is non-trivial because there are some ambiguities in how contacts need to be evaluated depending on the shape of the ellipsoid. Those don’t happen for the sphere region because of the higher symmetry of a sphere and the available API for regions doesn’t seem to be suitable for that.
