How to get the information froma a .dat file using the materialproject website

I have the .dat files but i dont know how to put them into the website maybe you know another site where i can find that kind of tool.

Please provide more details about what you’re trying to achieve. What’s a .dat file for you? Where did you get it from? What kind of tool are you looking for?

Hello and thanks for responding. With .dat file i mean the data from a difraction pattern. In the file I have the intensity of the peaks by angle. It is from an unknown sample. I need to discover the element.

There is currently no such functionality on our website that allows you to directly upload the diffraction pattern. However you could visualize the diffraction patterns under the Property Section (under the Spectra tab) which you could compare to your own data. See example.
