I am new to OVITO Pro. I have performed nanoindentation and would like to observe the shear bands using the atomic shear strain option. Can you please provide some guidance to get it done?

This depends on your specific simulation and the data you want to extract. As far as I’m aware, people usually use the atomic strain modifier to determine the atoms’ relative movement and shear. Subsequently, either color coding or spatial binning modifiers can be used to identify atoms or regions with strong shear localization.
