Inclusion of hydrodynamic force

Hi all,

I am trying to simulate a polymer network embedded in a viscous
fluid. where the polymer I am using here is a bead-spring polymer and
the beads are interacting within themselves by harmonic spring as
well as by LJ field. Now i want to include the hydrodynamic
interaction between the bead and the solvent and which will be
mediated to the far away placed beads (which are out of LJ cut-off
distance) by the medium as well.

My asking is how does it possible to implement in LAMMPS . Will be
waiting eagerly for your reply. thanks in advance.

you are asking the wrong question. you should
ask yourself "what is a model that can simulate that?"
once you have found a model (a search of the available
literature can work wonders in that respect), you can
compare how it corresponds to the available features
in LAMMPS as documented in the manual.

axel.

You can also look at the fix srd command and the pair lubricate and
FLD package. But Axel is correct - unless you start with a good
model in the literature, you are unlikely to proceed far on your own.
