Hello! I encountered the Legacy Materials Project brownout while trying to access it today, which made me sad because I am trying to use the interactive phonon app on the legacy website, which is currently not a feature of the next-gen website. So, I wanted to express an interest in the next-gen Materials Project having this same integration with the Phonon Website, which I think is a very important visualization tool for teaching and understanding phonon dispersion curves. While, of course, I can use this app myself on systems I compute, I think the seamless integration with the Materials Project data and website interface was invaluable for users exploring research in this area! Are there plans to add this to the next-gen materials project, and if so, when can users expect to see that? Thank you!
@jamesgil Thanks for bringing this to our attention! We’ll discuss internally if and how to bring the phonon website back. We’ll post a follow-up here.

I agree it would be nice to have this back. In the meantime you can try this: Export phonon band structure data from the Materials Project API. Related video tutorial on phonons: https://youtu.be/acT6zQbiiio · GitHub
