so on occasion of the upcoming LAMMPS users workshop,
paul crozier and i have decided to organize a visualization
and logo contest for LAMMPS.
don't you think that LAMMPS could use a nice, shiny, spiffy, cuddly, cute,
impressive logo or mascot that represents all the good things in it?
so all ray tracing, visualization, gimp and photoshop artists out there,
please give it your best shot and send it to me. this is _the_ opportunity
to leave your mark on LAMMPS. 
in addition, we thought it would be nice to have a visualization gallery
together with the poster session, where folks can show off their nicest,
coolest, and most stunning visualization artwork based on LAMMPS
simulation data.
we have secured some valuable prizes for the winners and runner-ups.
