Hello LAMMPS user community -
As you may know, developers like Mike Brown and Christian Trott have
been busy adding new GPU capabilities to LAMMPS over the last couple
years, via the GPU and USER-CUDA packages.
NVIDIA is interested in knowing the level of interest from the LAMMPS
community in running on GPU hardware. So we helped them put together
an on-line survey at https://www.surveymonkey.com/s/MJJG57Q, that has
questions about general LAMMPS usage as well as GPU-specific ones.
It takes about 10 minutes to fill out, and having good participation
should result in a win-win-win for all of us.
* You get input into future LAMMPS development directions. And
everyone who completes the survey has a chance to win a prize
generously donated by NVIDIA: two workstation-class C2075 Tesla
GPUs; see rules below. (I tried to talk them into GPU cards for
everyone who takes the survey, but it didn't fly.)
* The LAMMPS development team gets useful feedback from its users,
including what new features you'd like to see.
* NVIDIA learns more about what its current and potential customers.
So please consider taking the survey. And spread the word to other
LAMMPS users you think might be interested.
