Hi all,
I was just wondering did anyone try to apply angular velocity to a sphere ? or any suggestions how to do it ?
Thanks,
Peri.

What do you mean by a "sphere"? One particle or many?
If one particle, LAMMPS particles are typically point masses,
so they have no ang vel. The exception is granular particles
which can be initialized with v and ang vel in the Velocities
section of the data file. I noticed the read data doc doesn't
explain this, so I'll update it.

Dear Steve,
I meant to ask, is it possible to give angular velocity to a sphere with atoms or for that matter any gemometry with atoms (like linear velocity using velocity command).
Thanks,
Peri.
No option in LAMMPS to do this. I suppose you could add an option
to the velocity command.
