[lammps-users] dump file header

Dear LAMMPS developers and users,

I would love to delete some lines of a header of dump file.
Would you tell me how to do this?

Now I have following at the begining of every timesteps in my dump file.

ITEM: TIMESTEP
1010000
ITEM: NUMBER OF ATOMS
3000
ITEM: BOX BOUNDS
-1000 1000
-1000 1000
-1000 1000
ITEM: ATOMS
-0.00407097 0.00158505 0.000609107
0.00491736 0.00293035 -6.81754e-05
0.00692007 0.0202106 0.00597201
....

But I want

ITEM: TIMESTEP

ITEM: ATOMS

Sed can post-process this lickety-split.

Put these lines in the file whack.sed

/NUMBER/ {
N
N
N
N
N
d
}

Then type sed -f whack.sed dumpfile > newdumpfile
