Total energy of a solid in EAM formalism is given by Etot=F(rho)+1/2*PHI®
Given pair potential and Rose’s universal state form of embedding energy function can be found but in the literature many a times explicit function for embedding energy is not given except the graph. Given the above how can I find embedding energy function. Can anybody refer me some literature or explain me the same.
I would read the original EAM papers in the 1980s by the EAM originators
who discuss embedding functions for different materials.
