Did you use the file provided with the LAMMPS code Cu_mishin1.eam.alloy? This contains the Copper from PRB(2001)63:224106. You can also create the EAM file using the provided code Cu_Mishin1.c. If you want to check something you could try to use https://www.ivec.org/gulp.
