[lammps-users] Momentum of inertia

Dear all,

I’ve used the package ‘asphere’ to simulate a confined liquid crystal system. After submitted a paper about this simulation, one referee want the information of the momentum of inertia. In fact, I have not done any special setting when I was using the package. So does anybody know the initial setting of the momentum of inertia in the package? I can not find it in the manual. Thanks in advance!

The parameters I used were

1. GB(sigma_ee/sigma_ss,epsilon_ss/epsilon_ee,upsilon,mu) (4.4,20,1,1)

shape 1 1 1 4.4
pair_style gayberne 1.0 1.0 1.0 5.5
pair_coeff 1 1 2 1 1 1 0.05 1 1 0.05 5.5

2. LJ(sigma_ee/sigma_ss,epsilon_ss/epsilon_ee,upsilon,mu) (1,1,1,1)

shape 2 1 1 1
pair_coeff 2 2 2 1 1 1 1 1 1 1 5.5

Best wishes,
Yours Kitty.

An ellipsoid has 3 moments of inertia around the x,y,z
axes. LAMMPS computes them.
