There are pair_style lj/class2 and pair_style coul/debye. Why can’t we combine them? If it is easy to do it, could you please add it to LAMMPS?

There is no pair_style coul/debye either (just cut and long). It
would be useful to
have a coul/debye so it could be combined (via pair_style hybrid) with other
potentials, like class2. I'll put it on the to-do list, but it's a
long list ...
Until then, you might be able to do what Vikas suggested, if that matches
your problem.
