HI all!!!
This is Kazi Tunvir from University of Alberta, canada. For about few days I tried to install lammps in my machine having Linux versio as (fedora Kernel Linux 2.6.29.4-167.fc11.x86_64). I always followed the procedure as given in the lammps web page. But every time when i tried to "make" or "gmake" the lammps, it saying all ".d" files are missing. vcan anybody help me how can I deal with this problem.
I need this problem to be fixed very soon for my research purpose. If anybody help me I would be grateful.

just ignore it. it is not a problem.
the missing files will be generated during compilation.
their purpose is to speed up re-compilation. mostly for
developers or when patches are applied.
