[lammps-users] Quick question: Restart file version

Dear all,
Just a quick question. in the manual it says:“Restart file version does not match LAMMPS version
This may cause problems when reading the restart file.”
If lammps just give a Warning when i use a different version of lammps with Restart file, and the simulation goes well,
will there be any influence to my simulation results?

no, you should be fine. Occasionally the format of the restart
file is changed, in which case the read will typically croak.
