[lammps-users] the code not producing DUMP files

Dear all,

I am new to LAMMPS.

I compiled LAMMPS on ubuntu 64 bit.
when i try the example such as in.crack, the computation goes on smoothly. But dump.crack is not produced.
Can it be due to compilation error? or something?

nope - I'm guessing the file got written somewhere else. If the
input script finished and no error was thrown (like when the dump
file was opened), then the file has to be somewhere.
