[lammps-users] using origin keyword in lattice command

Hello LAMMPS users,
Can someone please inform me the use of origin keyword (in command lattice). Its function is not clear to me.
e.g.

Think of the lattice as a set of points in space,
defined by an origin, an orientation, and a replicated
unit cell. The simulation box is simply dropped on
top of that set of points, and whichever ones are
inside the box, become atoms in your simulation
(when you use the create_atoms command).
