Alexey, have a look at velocity.cpp and random_park.cpp in the src folder.
The latter contains the implementation of the gaussian() function.

Hm... Is there any doc's about methods and algorithms using in LAMMPS.
Source files is good one for masters in C++, but I'll spend a lot of
time trying to undrstand them couse I'm not a system programmer.
