what are differences between lattice constant and lattice spacing in lattice
command?and why values of these 2 terms are different in oriented lattices?
the difference is that those are two different properties starting
from the fact that you always have only one lattice constant, but
three lattice spacings in 3d.
in general, what the lattice command in LAMMPS does and what and how
it computes things are described in great detail in the lattice
command documentation. please have a closer look at it; perhaps with a
pencil and a piece of paper to figure out the details and then perhaps
take a text book on crystal structures to fill in any remaining
blanks.
