you can call the velocity command as many times as you want.

i don’t see why you would need to call velocity multiple times for this.

still doesn’t make sense to me. if it doesn’t work with a single add of velocities, it won’t work with multiple times. kinetic energy will fluctuate and dissipate as particles interact.

then why set it in the first place?
please check the documentation of the velocity command carefully. it has options to remove a net translational or rotational momentum.
