We’re looking for someone that is passionate about research software and data and has experience working with databases, preferably with a materials science background (though that’s not a must).
In this role, you will have the opportunity and freedom to design and build research-enabling software and have an impact well beyond any specific research project. The main task, initially, will be to re-develop the CCP-NC database – an open repository of computational solid state NMR results. This will be an exciting testing ground for the wider Physical Sciences Data Infrastructure (PSDI) initiative and will involve working closely with the UK solid state NMR community as well as interfacing with data management experts in the STFC Scientific Computing Department.

Salary: £39,748- £44,166 per annum (dependent on skills and experience). Specialist allowance of up to £4k per annum depending on experience and access to STFC UK VISA support. Support (up to £8k) for UK VISA (healthcare) costs through the relevant skilled worker routes.
Hours: Full time
