Hey all,
Is it possible to have a pair style with angular restriction? For example, I would like to apply a Lennard-Jones potential to a certain direction but not sure how to do that.
Many thanks.

certain direction with respect to what?
the lennard-jones potential applies to point particles, which cannot have
an orientation.
what do you want to achieve with this "angular restriction", anyway?
axel.
For example, I would like to a point particle only have LJ potentials in a certain Euler angles, and for other part of it just zero. Is that applicable?
Alternatively, is there any pair potential with angular restriction in pair_style command?

you are not answering my questions. what is supposed to be your
reference? and what is it that you want to achieve with it.

not that i know of. pair styles are generally rotationally invariant
except for manybody interactions and extended particles.
axel.
