PhD opening at the University of Milan

Dear lammps community,

let me advertise a PhD opening in computational material science and physics at the University of Milan. You can find all the details in the announcement below.

Thank you and best simulations to all,

Prof. Roberto Guerra,
Department of Physics,
Università degli Studi di Milano

ANNOUNCEMENT:

The Milan Lab for Materials Simulations (MLMS) at the University of Milan welcomes expressions of interest from candidates interested in carrying out a PhD in computational design of matters with a focus on 2D materials, metal oxides, nanoassembly, nanofriction, development of machine-learning force fields.

Details about the MLMS’s research interests are available at the web site MLMS

Successful candidates will be enrolled by the PhD school in Physics, Astrophysics and Applied Physics at the University of Milan, opening 14 PhD fellowships in physics topics.

Applicants must hold a MSc or MSci degree in Physics, Materials Science, Chemistry, or Engineering before the fellowship starts.
Formal applications are taken around May/June, the selection is completed by June/July.
The PhD fellowship starts Oct. 1 and lasts for three years.

Members of the MLMS are willing to assist promising candidates in the preparation of their formal application, enhancing their chances to secure a fellowship.
