MOLECULAR DYNAMICS OF GLASSES

A postdoctoral position is available at the Physics Department of the Universidad de Chile in Santiago. The successful candidate will undertake numerical simulations of glasses, both metallic and ceramic, in collaboration with Professors Gonzalo Gutiérrez and Fernando Lund. The thrust of the research program lies with the use of molecular dynamics to unravel the role played by intermediate length structures in the various glass properties.
The successful candidate will have a PhD degree in physics or materials science, obtained after January 1, 2014, and extensive computer simulation experience.
